Quickstart
Get ERPBridge running locally in a few minutes.
Prerequisitesโ
- Docker, or a local Go toolchain with Go 1.26+
- A GitHub account for MCP clients such as Claude Desktop or Cursor
1. Start the stackโ
- Docker (recommended)
- Go toolchain
Start the full stack
git clone https://github.com/nmdra/ERPBridge.git
cd ERPBridge
docker compose up -d
Build and run from source
git clone https://github.com/nmdra/ERPBridge.git
cd ERPBridge
make build
./erpbridge-server
This starts the following services:
erpbridge-serveron port8080mock-erp(mock ERPNext) on port8081
Redis is optional
The exact-match cache uses a bounded in-memory LRU when Redis is not configured. Set CACHE_MEMORY_MAX_ENTRIES=0 to disable memory-cache storage. See Caching.
2. Verify server healthโ
Health check
curl http://localhost:8080/mcp/health
Expected response:
Response
{"status":"ok"}
3. Connect an MCP clientโ
- Streamable HTTP (Postman, remote clients)
- stdio (Claude Desktop, Cursor)
Base URL:
http://localhost:8080/mcp/
See the Connectivity and transport guide for the full handshake and Postman setup.
Run the server binary in stdio mode:
stdio transport
erpbridge-server --stdio
4. Discover toolsโ
Request the tool list through the MCP initialize and tools/list lifecycle. You can also use bridgectl:
List registered tools
./bridgectl tool get
Need the CLI?
The complete bridgectl reference lives in its own section โ see the bridgectl overview.
5. Call a toolโ
Direct invocation
curl -X POST http://localhost:8080/api/tools/invoke \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"name": "list_employees", "arguments": {}}'
